Oscar Recap
Mon, February 27, 2012 Well, last night was Hollywood's biggest night, the Oscars. And boy was it exciting. It got off to a great start. 74 year old Morgan Freeman wowed the young viewers with talking. Then the hip Billy Crystal did an amazing opening song unlike anything he had every done before, when he hosted 50 times while you were all in elementary school.

Billy Crystal's still got it.
But the real highlight of the evening were all the pretaped pieces of famous actors talking about how much they love movies. Before I watched those, I honestly didn't even know if George Clooney or Tom Cruise enjoyed movies. I assumed they did not.
I'm glad they included all of those, because it was much better than having the Muppets sing their Oscar winning song. It was much better to watch Jonah Hill talk about how movies are magical. Not nearly as magical as watching Jonah Hill talk about it though.
It was nice to see Angelina Jolie present an award. Pictured here showing some leg:

Jolie has never looked better.
The real highlight of the night, was of course, all of the great young actors winning awards. From Meryl Streep (62) to Christopher Plummer (82), young Hollywood was on display in full force.
One of my favorite things about going to the movies is
awards,
celebrities,
hollywood in
